Something weird happened at work today

A colleague of mine has never liked me. And he's higher on the ladder than I am, so that's not so good for me :P

Today I had to sit down with him and my employer, because he had a lot to blame me about.

For some weird reason I suddenly felt extremely confident. I wrote down everything he said and I quickly created a couple of answers in my head. I also processed through the outcomes of each answer.

The whole conversation turned around, and I began leading the conversation.

I see myself as an introvert, against to extroverted sales guys. How did I survive that?

Normally I don't say that much and just take the blame or try to limit the damage.

I'm totally confused at the moment

Maybe all the personal development study I've been doing is integrating into my life

Yes, you're making progress. I guess your subconcious mind had taken over.

or simply your body's survival instincs kicked in and you did what you had to do to survive

even introverts, when pushed to the wall, will find their claws

I would not so quickly credit it to any kind of development or growth unless you can predictably repeat it more than several times again

Congratulations. That is good stuff. Try to index the feeling you had as it turned around and you can recall it easier next time. When you feel it, go with it.

"Self Help" has merits. I'm a fan ;p I just re-listened to some Brian Tracy on during a drive to a site visit at the day job yesterday. It's always a good refresher to revisit.

Today I was in a meeting and thought about the encounter describer in the first post for a second. For some reason I directly felt the same energy again. I immediately took over the conversation and started discussing and giving new ideas. It felt really great.

It feels like a solid 10 (on a 1 - 10 scale ). I have that same extreme positive feeling when I'm helping someone, and see the results of it.
