Default Tony Robbins Launches EmpowerNet International IPO

Anyone heard about this? Apparently, prospectuses are flying off the shelves. It's a minimum 4000 shares at $0.50 per share.

I read about his somewhere before on a news site. If my memory doesn't fail, it's something along the lines that empowernet has been bought over by a financial group, and empowernet is looking to raise funds by selling shares at 50 cents.

If I wanted to invest in an ego that big, I would have bought stock in Martha Stuart Living.

Too dangerous to invest in a business that basically Tony himself. What if he dies?

"What if he dies?"

I didn't think he looked all that healthy at the TED conference. But then, maybe he had a long night or was on vacation or something.

OT:: Not healthy? He looked fine to me. If you think he looks fat think again: that's pure massive muscle!

Actually, I thought he looked rather gaunt, unshaven, and disheveled. I'm sure he's fine.

Well, sooner or later Tony will die. What then? I mean, if you have some BofA shares or Southwest Airlines or McDonnalds, you don't really care if some CEO dies.

But Tony is Tony. Sure, he probably has hundreds of trainers and coaches that work for him. But can you name one of them?

Default Empowernet

In reading some of the posts about Empowernet I saw some misconceptions -- here is some detail.

What Empowernet is -- it is a means of distributing Tony's UPW and other events to more people throughout Australasia. It is an attempt to move the message out to more -- while lessening the dependancy on Tony's presence.

The mechanics -- the plan is that individual franchisees will organise the events in theri local area and get the "bums on the seats". Empowernet will do the actual facilitation -- stage, music, dancers, session leaders etc. Tony will appear (pre-recorded) on the big screen -- like he does at pretty much all of the programs except UPW and DWD -- and if you're in the back at those you watch the screens anyway.

Ideally -- Tony's benefits are shared with many more people, much more often, in areas that he otherwise couldn't get to, and in languages he doesn't speak. Say 500 people in 5 cities in 5 different (non-English) languages -- in 1 weekend. (If Tony were to go there personally he would have to be translated live -- much more difficult).

The downside -- there's only one Tony -- and he packs them in. Also, it is unknown how quick some of the areas will take it up.

To date -- Empowernet has done a 9 events this way and they have been well received.

From the Prospectus - "To date, nine ‘Unleash The Power Within’ seminars
have been delivered to international audiences, using
digital technology and in a variety of languages. Written
course materials have been translated into Chinese
and Indonesian, an initiative which will continue
– making the product easier to sell and attractive to
the widest audience, hence maximising return on
investment."

The IPO money doesn't go to Tony -- he gets paid in other ways.

Shares are $.50 each --minimum $2000 AUD. They just announced that if you invest $5000 -- you get a free DWD ticket -- kind of like a Coles card!

You can get a prospectus by calling 02 8114 2222 in Australia

Should you invest? No idea -- depends on you.

I just thought I'd shed some light on what it really is.
