Hi, I used to hang out here a lot about a year or two ago. I stopped hanging out here in favor of taking action. I am happy to report that I finally am getting the hang of some of this passive income stuff. I sell two ebooks in the health and wellness space and people are actually buying them. In June I made my first $1000 month --that's ebook sales alone in one month. I finally started to make progress once I started living by some of my fav quotes that I have tacked above my computer: "Progression, not perfection." "Action always beats inaction." "Quitting creates scarcity. Scarcity creates value." "His style was achieved through the increasing sweat of his brow." "Make mistakes of ambition, not mistakes of sloth." See a trend here? Take action. Work hard. Learn. Fail. Try again. Get better. Learn more. Do better. Work hard. I stopped reading and I just started doing. It's the doing that will get you results. There is no substitute Everything I've been learning is through trial and error (lots of errors!). The best thing you can do is try something and analyze the results. I am still learning every day and bumbling my way through, but I am finally starting to feel that my bumbling is getting me closer and closer to my goals. Anyway, just wanted to encourage you to DO something if you are thinking about all this passive income stuff. You have more than one shot. If the first thing you try fails (and it probably will) just be glad that you have tried something. Learn. Apply what you have learned and your next attempt will be better. Don't obsess about the perfect niche or the perfect product or the perfect domain name or the perfect anything. Just take some tiny morsel of action, see what happens and learn from it. Now, go and DO. |

That is no small feat, an extra $1k passive in a month for the first time ever is really really good. I'd also be willing to bet that since now you have a significant milestone under your belt, you will only go up from here. I wish you all the best, you have shown that you can do it. Peter.... |

Hey Laura, Congratulations on passing $1k/month. I remember how excited I was when I passed that milestone. I felt like this passive income thing was actually possible and not just some wishful thinking. I definitely like your attitude about taking constant action and learning from them. That's the only way to make progress. Keep up the good work and let us know when you reach your next milestone. Best of luck -azmat |

Congratulations! The $1000 really is magical, it's no longer "couple hundred of bucks". I'm at "couple thousand" now - even I have to work for it so I'm just calling it "sales income" |
