Something really weird in the air!

Or the water, or whatever it is that's the medium for conducing the strange business decisions companies have been taking this year...why, by my laywoman's count alone:

1. WooThemes (a WordPress theme maker)
2. PHPurchase/Cart66 (a WordPress plugin maker)
3. Netflix


All these businesses alienated their grognards by drastically changing their business model while raising prices -- and not preparing customers for the drastic changes...they've even alienated new customers who signed up under one set of expectations only to confront a wholly new situation the next day!

I'm no business owner so perhaps some here can provide an insight into how decision-makers can make such bad decisions??

Then again, I don't think the price increases amount to much anyway, which may have been the attitude of the executives as well...though it usually doesn't feel right when something just changes without warning.
