So right now I'm still trying to get myself a 9-5 job to push my way through college/get myself in a position where I no longer need it. I write a lot of stuff on Fiverr, and stuff like that to earn some money. I want to start up niche websites, get residual income, but I just blank when I think about stuff like that. So to me, that means I shouldn't be doing them! However, I do have a youtube gaming channel and I really want to grow it to the point where I can get sponsored and start making money from it! Cause come on, paid to play video games? AWESOME! So I'm wondering how to grow a gaming youtube channel? I'm submitted my channel to Machinima Realm, didn't get any reply back. I post comments on popular channels in my "niche" and that drives some traffic. But it seems to be slowing down a lot. I need to get around 1,000 Subscribers/views per video to get a partnership. I've also tried to message the bigger channels to see if we do a dual commentary/sort of stuff and they've rejected me. So I'm asking you guys to give me ideas to promote my channel? Its a League of Legends gaming channel right now. Here's the link so you know what I mean: DoubleWinning's Channel - YouTube |

Create entertaining videos that people will want to see more of in the future. If they want to see more of them, they will subscribe. As for what exactly is entertaining... you will have to discover that for yourself. A lot of people focus on niches in gaming and do well. I would say either pick one genre of games or one specific very popular game or game series, and only make videos about that game/series/genre. |

@Brutha The videos I make are benefiting my viewers by helping them play and entertaining them. @Curtis2011 Yeah that's what I'm doing right now, trying to stick to one gaming niche and get popular through that. Plus if I'm focusing on one game it focuses my knowledge so I'm always in the know. Thanks guys. |

post in forums for your gaming niche, get a blog to help promote your channel. and post your videos on your site writing gaming reviews to go along with the videos. once you get a blog you can submit your article on blog carnivals. also you can link up with other bloggers and websites. you can do interviews with game developers or expert gamers for say madden or mortal kombat. having a blog/website opens up your marketing strategies alot more then just having a youtube channel have at least two ways to communicate with your peers. google loves specific names think descriptive adjectives. hope this helps my dude good luck |

Posting on forums and becoming known as an expert will help you a lot. I used to follow HuskyStarcraft and WingsofRedemption on Call of Duty. I followed them because they were very good at what they do, and both were hilarious to listen to. Are you going to be doing commentary as well as just games? If so, focus on your voice and being funny at least as much as your actual gameplay tips. |
