Help needed in picking a logo for my website.

Hi guys,

I would love you to help me pick a logo for my new website!

I have created a contest on freelancer.com and have made a selection of the 8 most attractive logos and would like to know your opinion.

Academy.io is an online interactive learning membership site.

Users, once they've logged in, will be able to addictively immerse themselves in the acquisition of a new skill. With the help of hardcore interactive training exercises the new skill will be burned into their neural pathways in no time.

If you tell me under what name you voted I will give a free 3 month "Thank you" subscription for the website once it is ready to be used. I will also burn a candle and make a wish for you Tell me what you want and I will wish it for you

I found that interesting to do! Until specifically asked to comment, I didn't realise that I have a certain bias against centerist design. Something for me to contemplate as I am beginning to put some thought into overhauling my own website.

I don't like how .io is dropped below the line. The people outline doesn't match the color of "academy" and is visually jarring. This is nothing more than the word academy dressed up. It is not original.

The graphic design to the left of Academy is meaningless. The design, the word Academy, and .io is just smashed together. The height of the graphic is much larger than the text. This is severely unbalanced.

This is slightly better, because it doesn't have a useless graphic. The problem is that the abstract person hiding inside the "A" is so, so cliched. Everybody has done this. Make an X or an I or something and put a dot for a head and stretch out his arms in joy. It's been done, and done, and done. Also, .io is too small. The green bar on the A makes it harder to identify as an A at first glance.

Meaningless. The "I" in ".io" lacks a serif so it could be read as the number 10.

I am actually redoing the contest. It will reopen soon. A lot of people pointed out that there was not much originality in the submitted designs.

Got any ideas how I can motivate people to submit better, more original designs ?
