Default Alternative to PayPal?

After performing my services, I usually send invoices via PayPal to my customers so they can pay me easily online with a credit card. It's great because they don't need to have a PayPal account to pay me. They just enter their credit card info and they are done. Unfortunately, one of my customers refuses to use PayPal because they screwed him over in the past.

Does anyone know of an alternative to PayPal that would allow my customers to pay me using a credit card without signing up for an account???

I checked Google Checkout. They would require my customers to sign up for an account before they could me.

Thanks

Check out BMT Micro Software Registration Services - the only downside for you is that they take 9.5%. However, they will deliver the product for you, customize the order form to match your website and generally they have an excellent tech support.

If it's just one customer, don't bother changing to an alternative one because paypal is the most reliable out there.

Normally I would agree, but this customer is _very_ important to us and he is very adamant about his refusal to use PayPal. Apparently they screwed him out of thousands of dollars.

While initially much less convenient (if one has to exchange cash for gold or vice versa), you could check out e-gold.

Noooooo!

Don't use e-gold, they got shut down because of illegal activities, and the owners got sued/jailed something like that.

If he doesn't want to use paypal, use the old fashion way: snail mail check or cash payment

Wow. It'd been a few years since I'd used it. Their site is still up but the government is not at all happy with them at this point, so I'd agree with not using them.

Yup, e-gold is connected with all these HYIP scams.

Hi

I've paid for ebook graphics using 2Checkout.com before now, so I guess they could work for you. The site simply sent me a payment link for both 2CheckOut and Paypal, I then had a choice of which to use.

Hope this helps,

Trevor

Try Nochex - Online Payment Solutions: Credit Card Payment Processing Systems for Internet & Ecommerce Businesses, it's a gateway like Paypal but easier for the customer to use. They even have a merchant service for £50 which appears to the customer as if they never left your website.
