Default Choosing a career path

Ok let me get this straight.I'm a 20 year old guy struggling to find a career that inspires me.I mean there are thousands of jobs out there, how do I choose...I am stuck,I'm having big trouble to choose a particular field,I just don't know.It is one of the biggest decisions in our life, because it's where we spend the most of your time. But how do you go about choosing a successful career path?

Check this article out. It'll rock your world. Give it a few weeks to sink in, though.

What I would give to be able to go back to being 20 and live my life over. Would I make the same choices? Maybe, maybe not. Do I regret my decisions. No. Life has helped me shape who I am.

You ask what career should you pick. What are you interested in? There is no right or wrong answer. Maybe you should not worry about a career at the moment and work your way around the world. It definitely makes you more well rounded and gives you perspective.

One thing you should know is that in today's world you will change careers at least a couple of times. Is your question about what you should major in? Asking because you are 20. Just assuming that you are in the middle of your college career. If so, find something that can be used in multiple ways. Business is a great all around degree. Art appreciation, probably good only if you are looking to become a teacher or really want to work in a museum.

Hope this helps

VinceG, that post you linked was amazing! A little complicated, but quite insightful. The grit factor is something that I have yet to achieve; intrinsic motivation is not my strength, but hopefully it can be developed as I improve in certain things.
