New page I'm kicking off on my site. First, I wanna make sure that the donate button is working for everybody else on the page:

Donate to Win – – The Power of HowRedefining How To...

I'm working on the formatting to how to make it not so jumbled together.

If you like it, make a donation or pass onto to some people who might wanna try the challenge.

This could be a great way to test your manifestation skills. Will you be the one who wins the prize? (I'm emailing this link out to a few people as well).

It seems like by picking the winner that way that people will be hesitant to donate for fear that you aren't anywhere near your goal.

Yeah, I thought about that last night but forgot to change it.

Changed it today. Decided to make it based on the amount of the donation instead. Every dollar gets a name in the "hat" once.

That's pretty cool. Will you be posting updates as to how close you are to $1500?

Yeah, I'll update it from time to time. Might even get one of those thermometer picture things and put it on the page with it.

I'm wondering about the legality of doing something like this.

Seems like it has huge potential - receive $1500 and pay out roughly $500. Not a bad deal. Like I said, makes me wonder if it's legal in the States. Anyone know?

Well, actually, I'd be paying out most of it. $500 for the prize, $500 for the charity.

I don't see why it wouldn't be legal.

If you are in the States then I am virtually certain that it would be considered a lottery and would be illegal without proper licenses. I did a small amount of research and it looks as though raffles, bingo, etc are reserved for charities and other non-profit organizations. The little bit of research I did pointed to some significant criminal penalties for running an unauthorized lottery. Be careful and proceed with caution.
