This job posting caught my eye: blog_comments: I will create 10,000 Blog comments with backlinks to your sites for $5 on fiverr.com

The user has some positive feedback from previous buyers. Is it a worthwhile service? What exactly would it do to help my blog?

Have you used backlinks before? I'm not sure if you're looking for a general explanation of them, or just want to know how we feel about the guy in general. I'm going to go check his ad out right now.

With the wording of it, he could be referring to posting 10,000 comments on a single blog. That would be pretty hilarious but also worthless for SEO or traffic purposes.

If he really means on 10,000 different blogs, yeah it pretty much sounds like he has an automated spammer working for him.
