Default If this were in your realm of interest, would you attend this workshop?

I need to turn this in tonight. I know it's not up everyone's alley, but if it was... does it sound fun? (imagine)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Writing our Selves Home~ a Journey in the Tarot
In this fun workshop, we will be focusing on our selves and our writing through the archetypes, which are universally recognized symbols/characters found in almost every form of storytelling across different times and cultures.
Archetypal patterns are simple, yet knowing them can help distill complex personalities/situations to their essence.
I utilize images as prompts, especially images from the Tarot, which is filled with archetypal symbols. For anyone with or without experience, this is a great way to get deeper into the Tarot.
Bring a journal or notebook and a pen.
If you have a Tarot deck, please bring it, if not, I will have extras.
Then, the pic of me smiling on my home page, and a small pic of a Tarot card.
I also want to say that the workshop description shown here is a short one meant for a newsletter for people already familiar with Tarot-like and metaphysical things. I will have a more detailed one as well, but this has to go out tonight, so any constructive feedback is welcomed.
Never mind, I needed quick replies, I had to send it. I sent it in. I feel pretty good about it. But I am still curious.
Now I'm confused. It seems you are saying you no longer need feedback, but then you say you are curious
Biggest suggestion...this is all about you, when it should be all about the people who would be interested in coming to your seminar.
Don't tell them what you are going to do, tell them how what you do will benefit them. What it will help them learn about the Tarot, how it will improve their storytelling, etc.
A good way to do this would be to break the workshop down. Write down each main point of instruction...
For instance, if you were giving a writing workshop, you could talk about three things...(just quick, off the top of my head examples)
Brainstorming
Editing
Publishing
Here's how each of those points could possibly benefit your customers:
Learn brainstorming techniques so you never again have to start at a blank screen in frustration, waiting for an idea to pop up...
You learn how to edit your writing so it's tight and concise, which pleases editors.
I'll show you three techniques I use to persuade editors to publish my article, so you don't have to start from scratch.
These are poor examples, but should give you an idea.
Hope that helps!
That would be awesome.
I had to send it off last night which is why I said never mind. It was *supposed* to be about me, and the follow up advertising will break down the workshop. I value your suggestions and look forward to as many suggestions as I can get. I am open to them.
It is just a bit discouraging to see so many views and no responses. I needed quick feedback (I should've put that in the thread) I was supposed to sell myself in the blurb and they needed it last night. I needed to secure a specific date. If they don't like it, I will hear from them I suppose.
I'm curious...why was this supposed to be about you, and the follow up was supposed to break down the workshop?
Ok, nevermind, I just read the part about selling yourself in the blurb. But who were you selling yourself to? Someone that would be hosting the event, or to potential customers?
Yeah, that happens sometimes, and it can be discouraging. You are in a narrow niche though, so most people probably had no idea how to help. Plus the thread topic (would you attend this workshop if you were into this thing) didn't match the actual thread subject (help me sell myself).
Well, good luck, and let us know how things go!
The blurb is to sell the workshop to potential participants. I guess I am not being clear. I am trying to do too many things at once. I want to know if you were "in the know" about what it meant, as the newsletter is targeted at, would you want to attend.
