Default got terminated

i just received news that for certain work assignments, i have to stop work immediately, due to feedback, about my lack of ability and skills.

I feel like i'm being hit in my stomach.

Cos i'm already struggling with my income, and this termination means a huge part of my income gone.

It is tempting me to wallow in self-pity, beat myself up, and feel like a failure.

i don't want to do that, cos I know it does not help.

But it's hard to handle the welling up of emotions in my chest right now.

It's OK. Just let the emotions come and be with them. It will pass.

What kind of work were you doing?

Step back.

A bigger opportunity is trying to whack you upside the head!

When someone communicates their displeasure for your work, it usually means there was a lack of resonance.

It's not personal.

Their feedback isn't necessarily true... in the slightest.

In business, communication is paramount.

It's hard to NAIL your goals when the target is fuzzy.

Likewise, unless there is a constant recharging of inspiration and passion for your work, is it something you REALLY want to do...?

Did you make them think that you wanted to do well? Sometimes even if your work in a particular subject/field is not the best, you can at least make everyone around you know that you wanted to do a good job (instead of make money).

Most companies/clients are financially cushioned or are trying to maximize their benefits/costs, and can be arrogant in general.

Anybody can give negative feedback about anything. The question though is whether it's deserved based upon the pay you received and the work you did.

indeed i dont think i'm talented for that job. it's teaching. i like teaching but i'm terrible at classroom management. people usually dont respect or listen to me. i'm easily bullied by kids. or i might swing the other extreme and shout fiercely at them, but i still cannot control them.

i'm more nurturing. people may like my company because they think i'm good listener.

i am tired career wise and there's the temptation to give up altogether.

but no, i cannot, cos i need to survive.

btw, i have a degree. i suspect that i'm not doing well in interviews, cos they wonder why i made a switch in career from office job to education and now i'm switching back. they scared that i would quit again.

i've had 4 interviews so far and i didn't bag a job.

If you enjoy and believe you are good at the actual teaching part as opposed to classroom management, have you considered other possibilities such as tutoring online or 1-1?

Maybe try a higher grade level to teach at if you can - students will respect you more as they get older.
