As a 17 year male, I have joined the business/ Sales rep. industry. It seems very interestng and competitive, but my lack of knowledge in business and to be a business man is very minimum. Some skills come in handy, but there is still a lot of skills that I need to learn and digest. I am very comfortable meeting people, but never tried to sell to people, every person has different interest, personalities, and motives, I would like to get some tips into what will make me a better business man, so if anybody could help I will really appreciate it

Here is the best advice on sales that I ever got:

"Don't sell features of your product/service, solve your client's business problem."

Works wonders.

Good organizations with professional sales forces should have training programs to help you. Otherwise, there are many good external sales programs and workshops out there. You can read all you want in selling but taking live training is the best since you get instant feedback during role playing in sales calls.
