I have had this blog, Go To College for about 6 months and I just really don't know what college bound or college students want to read about. There are so many sites that offer advice, resources, etc, that I want something a bit different. I can't seem to find a focus, and would love your input. |

Well, Brutha, last time I heard people of all ages are going to college, especially online schools, so I think it's pretty short-sided for you to say I don't 'look' like a college student. In answer to your question, I posted this in the business section because I am a webmaster, bought the domain gotocollege.us, because it's a good one, and now I want to make it successful. Just looking for ideas. Thanks for your help! |

What you might want to do in the meantime to get some useful content on your college blog is to go to the bigger articles websites like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com to search for relevant content that you can put up on your blog. I have many articles on both of those sites for example and several of them are relevant for college students. Just go to those sites and do an article search under my name and they will come up. You can use any articles on these website that you want for your own blog. The only rule is that you have to include the entire article as is and also the author bio including any active links they have. This is fair since you get useful content for your blog while they get some exposure. You can also find relevant videos on YouTube and embed them on your blog as well. |

Thanks, Clint. Those are both excellent ideas. I will search your name on Ezine Articles. I also have some articles posted there. And I hadn't even though about posting videos, that's a cool idea. Have a great day! |

You are more than welcome Denise. I've got a few videos on YouTube for college students as well. It's a nice audience for you since there are so many college students and those who are heading there. The more resources available for them to do well, the better. Don't forget that recent grads also need info on how to start their careers too.

If you aren't inspired to write than it doesn't make any sense to invest time into competitive niche that doesn't make that much money. When I read a blog I don't want to feel like the owner got a domain name because a good one was available and now feels like he has to turn out articles. Quote:

If they aren't your ideas it's unlikely that you will inspire your readers with them. You have to find your own inspirations. Having good reasons for writing is a key element of that search. Quote:

My first thought was articles about food, beer, and how to cram for a test. BUT after actually going to your site I see your target audience is actually more "adult" post grad type readers. So would focus more on: Juggling work and school, ways to finish as fast as possible, ways to specialize to be more marketable in the job market, ways to keep costs down. etc |
