Default Is it possible to make a living from Casino?

I am not talking to make millions in a few nights, but rather, to make enough money for living (like, average income, or less than that)

Does anyone have experience with this??

What is it necessary to learn in order to do this?

Possible I would guess that it probably is possible.

Whether or not it is feasible is another thing entirely. When you are playing in casino's there are odds generally they are weighed against you. So in playing to win a living you are also playing to lose a living, and often much better chance of the losing then the winning. Of course it is something you could try.

However also remember that casino's are often looking for systems and a system would be what you would need unless you want to leave your lively hood up to chance.

You COULD make a living at it, but be prepared for 10 good years of "education" (-$ ) and a complete change of mindset. the folks who make a living at it that I know view it as... well, a job.

It's a job they "take home" as well. they don't seem to have much "fun" at it anymore either. they work hard, do their homework and grind out a living.

I think it takes a certain type of personality to pull off the "professional" gambler thing; discipline and patience come to mind.--BTW they never call themselves "gamblers" either; that would trivialize all the hard work and preparation they put in i guess...

I'd recommend against it but I have heard that roulette wheels are imperfectly made and therefore slightly biased. Therefore you can supposedly make a bit by consistently betting on certain numbers.

It's certainly possible. The average casino has two games that can be beat by a skilled player - sports/race betting and poker. In certain situations blackjack can be profitable too but it's rarer now. Everything else in the casino is pretty much worthless.

That said, the level of skill and intelligence required is high compared to other jobs where you can make similar money. To recycle the old quote it's a hard way to make an easy living.
