Default Business suggestions?

So, here's my problem: I need to find a job around 600 euros a month within the 3 next months. Also, I need to be able to work from my town. I'm in Greece, so finding a hired job with that amount of money is near impossible (I haven't graduated yet). Therefore I'm leaning towards some kind of freelancing as my best bet-or, at least, freelancing combined with some kind of common hired job. What I can use:

-I study Materials Science
-I'm good in drawing, I've dreamt of being a pro there (I can work with most media and styles, although I barely qualify for pro work)
-I'm good with writing too (articles in general/scientific texts)
-I'm good with computers (I could open an e-job)
-My character (everyone describes me as a "good girl" and reliable person. A sheep, basically, but who cares )

Are any of you out there who can make enough money with freelancing? Do you have any thoughts for me? I really need a job...

Have you looked at Elance, Rentacoder? You can do online freelance graphics and articles etc. I'm sure with a bit of help you could get some glowing references and start building a portfolio of work.

Are you looking to get into business or just start making some money?

Check out the warriors for hire section of the warrior forum. You could possibly come up with some good ideas there. I know guys there that make full time living on there with specialized services.

Peterw and Danthony, thank you for your responses!

I've been looking into e-lance, however I didn't know if it's possible to make that much money with my little experience and qualifications... I guess I'll just have to start by creating a profile on this and every other site and see where it gets me. I also guess I have to see how to open a bank account if I'm serious about this.

I didn't know about rentacoder and warriors-for-hire! They look interesting, I'll search them thoroughly in the morning.

Peterw-For start, I'm looking for something that can get me enough money to keep my appartment for at least several months. I live in the city of my university, which is my home for the last 6 years, and I'm not willing to return at a city I hate, at a neighbourhood that is turning into a ghetto, and live in a small appartment with my parents and my sis. I love my family, but you get my point. I'm willing to take any job (with dignity) to stop being an economic burden for my family and keep my home. I can certainly find some random job, but the problem is that I need to make enough money fast.
Now, if I manage to turn the job I get into a career I'd really love it!

Edit: I also think I'm gonna check the links at your sigs more thoroughly as soon as I find some time

You've definitely got the motivation Thing with elance and rentacoder etc is getting established in the first place. There is a lot of competition but there is also a lot of rubbish. I think there are enough people on these forums who do online marketing and are looking for quality outsourcers.

Perhaps there might be a way to keep it in the family so to speak and get you those first few important jobs and references. Warriors for hire is good as well.

I couldn't find myself a proper job either so I started my own company as a freelancing artist.
Dunno If its possible to earn 600 euros like that every month but if you are really good at drawing and finding costumers maybe you could try it too

600€ per month isn't a lot of money.
It means 30 hours per week at 5€.
That's US minimum wage.

Given that you can write decently that should be doable. You have 3 months to establish a portfolio.

I feel sorry for the situation in Greece.

If you are any good at writing, then that is your best shot. Most Internet Marketers needs great articles. Especially now when Google has made some changes. Now the marketers need GOOD articles that people actually would like to write.

I would study search engine optimization (you could get an intro from the link in my signature -> goto articles -> read) and start understanding how to write those articles.

Then I would start getting jobs from:
  • Fiverr
  • Elance
  • Guru.com

You can start a free Wordpress website (write me an email if you have any doubts how) and start presenting your writing quality.

Good luck!
