Hi everyone, I am looking for something, and hoped that someone here could help or suggest something. I need some service that allows me to do phone conferencing. I'm starting up psychic and healing schools. We already have several students signed up, and I'd like to get the conferencing off the ground. Basically we're going to have a weekly call for more teaching, discussing questions/experiences, etc. I'd like something where I can mute everyone else such as during teaching periods, but then also am able to unmute them for a certain time, such as a period to ask questions, etc. I know sometimes toll-free numbers come with conferencing enabled, and I am looking for a toll-free number as well sometime. We have a pretty large online store now and it seems unprofessional giving my personal number for support, so I guess I'm looking for a package with the toll-free number and conferencing. There are a lot of services out there, but I trust experience over sales pages, so would appreciate any advice on this issue. |

Great service to organize conferences FreeConference.com - Free Telephone Conference Call Service This service allows you to have a 1-800 number that forwards to any phone you wish. Even if you move to a different country or change your phone number, you can configure your 1-800 number to follow you anywhere. TollFreeForwarding.com - Toll Free & Local Phone Numbers |

Sounds great. But I'd like both of those if possible in one service. But I will check them out.

That conference one looks good, but are there any with an actual plan? I mean that this one, the premium level is $0.10 per minute per caller. But usually it is cheaper with a monthly plan, which I'd prefer. It is $0.10 per caller per minute, which means it's going to be about $6.00 per caller per call probably, since they last about an hour. Seeing as I want to do this weekly, that's going to be $24 per caller per month, which is a bit much I think.

Apparently Google Voice allows you to connect with 4 other callers if they all call into your line, not sure if this will work for you, but it's free for United States calls. Not sure if you can mute either. It seems some people are having issues with the service, but here's a link anyway. conference calling with google voice - Google Voice Help PS If you don't already have google voice, it's a great way to add another telephone line when you're at a computer. |

Hi, I now have my toll-free number through VirtualPBX. However, their conferencing feature does not have recording. I think I just came up with a solution though. There's an app on the iPhone called Recorder. You can buy 8 hours for $4.99, much cheaper than the $0.10 per minute per user for FreeConference. I can use the conferencing feature of VirtualPBX, and still record the conference through my phone. I think that's what I'll use for now. |
