| According to Wikipedia the "TED conference TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual conference held in Monterey, California, TED describes itself as a "group of remarkable people that gather to exchange ideas of incalculable value". Its lectures cover a broad set of topics including science, arts, politics, global issues, architecture, music and more. The speakers themselves are from a wide variety of communities and disciplines." Here is a list of this years speakers and their presentations. I thought this community would enjoy it: TED | Speakers

| I love watching the TED speakers. On Youtube and on the site link that you posted, you can find the most awesome videos of guys like Seth Godin and Ze Frank. There was even a Tony Robbins one.

| I was watching this guy yesterday... TED Blog: "Paradox of Choice" author Barry Schwartz on TEDTalks really good presentation I think, he made many good interesting points. Acoording to mr. Schwartz, the more choices we have, the harder to decide it is for us, because we know that there must be one choice that is the IDEAL one. Our expectations are much higher than expectations of people living few years before, and therfore often when we compare what we got to what we expected, we feel worse than in situations when there was less options to choose from. Adding options to our lives bring less satisfaction with our results even though they are good results. As stated on a picture during his presentation...."Everything was better back when everything was worse" is something you can possibly discuss for a long time.

Any recommendations for business and marketing talks or are these topics out of TED's range?

| Seth Godin had this talk: TED | Talks | Seth Godin: Sliced bread and other marketing delights (video) I enjoyed that, because it seems to confirm a greater trend of individualism and niche markets that I also read about in Richard Koch's book on the 80/20 principle. That companies are becoming more centered around certain people rather than being huge, multi-national organizations focussed on doing whats ordinary and doing what's extraordinary. Koch cited Microsoft and Google as two examples of these kinds of companies. I want to look into this a bit more to find out if this is actually happening, but it seems to be. Edit: I haven't seen this one yet, but this might seem related: TED | Talks | David Pogue: When it comes to tech, simplicity sells (video)
