Mike,

I've been checking out the WAHM forum for writers and just getting started in this writing content for others. I had no idea what to do, had to do quite a bit of research on my own and send pm's to people to get info. As I've been spending more time on that forum, I see the same questions being asked again and again. I think this is a book that needs to be written.

My biggest worry about writing this book is if people will gain value out of it. Sure, I could write my exact process, but I worry that people would look at it, and then after reading it, realize they could've figured it out all on their own. They wouldn't have had my experience of actually trying to figure it out on their own, so it would be hard for them to feel as if they've gotten their money's worth.

I don't think you should worry about that. Most people won't take the time for figure things out on their own. They want the info handed to them on a platter.

I don't know you, Mike, but I see that you have a good reputation in this forum.

You can do a research on this before launching your e-book. You can make a thread in these forums that you're giving an e-book for free in exchange to feedback. I see people are already interested in your book, so why not give some copies away to them, especially the ones you know via this forum? The feedback will show you whether people are getting value or not.

..I did this with my short e-book. I was very worried that it won't provide value and therefore gave away free copies and got some great feedback - one person even donated me the amount that my ebook cost. It reassured me that people are getting value. You can try the same strategy - it's hard to evaluate yourself objectively, especially if it's your first ebook.

That's what I was thinking, which led me to the idea of creating an e-book. Thanks for the feedback.

Oh do I?

One of the main reasons I wanted to write this book is to have some sort of an asset. I would initially try and sell it for $25-50, but if it completely flopped, at least I could have other options with the book.

For example, I could create a new website with a subscription like service, and offer the e-book for free when you sign up. Just a lot of options. Plus I have something to give people who want to know what I do.
