$20,000 is what a lot of people make in a few days. Keep the site, it can generate much more than $20,000.

Don't sell it. If you have something that is making you $600 every few days ($200/day), don't sell it.

Especially not for $20,000. You'll make that in only 100 days with your site!

I wouldn't sell it for 20 grand. On the other hand, are you sure people will go on to buy your product/s within 2-3 months as well as they're doing now

I'll think about it - it's just really important that I keep my anonymity on this forum private and don't associate anything I own with it. There's just way too many things I've disclosed here that I would never tell other people outside of this forum.

I've dealt with some things in the past that I've overcome now and I'd like to keep it all in my past.

Hey everyone - as an update, I haven't made any money since my initial successes, although I've only had the website for a very short amount of time:P

I have yet to promote the website, accept adwords, which I've failed at miserably.

Any other ideas about how I can promote it?

Thanks guys!

I believe you mentioned before that your site does not have much content. Perhaps it's time to add some?

How were you getting visitors to your site?

The other concern I have is that I'm at risk for losing my disability support...don't get me wrong, I enjoy the idea of having financial freedom and knowing that I'm independent. But I'm just about to enter in to a rent to own agreement, and I don't want to risk losing my support for unstable/unpredictable income that may or may not lead to a predictable consistent income.

I've purposely not promoted the site yet, because I have to wait until the beginning of next month to start earning some more, or I lose my income for the month.

My goal is to be off disability in six months, but before I get there I'd like to know that I'm earning a stable income that isn't just going to disappear or fluctuate from month to month and that I'll be able to pay my rent/downpayment for the house.

I sort of wish that I had purchased a website in the earning range of 400 - 500 dollars with the potential of more in the future. Then I'd be able to enjoy some independent income, without the fear of losing my support.

Please don't get me wrong I love this extra income and I do want to get off of support, but I'd like to do it slowly.

Just 3 people purchasing from my website in one month would be enough for ontario disability to kick me off my plan, so I have to be careful about how much I earn for now...

Part of me wants to sell it and purchase something with a more predictable income, so that if I do get off of disability support, I can be relatively certain that the money will be coming in each month. An example is a website with adsense earnings each month of lets say 400 dollars - that would be perfect.

Anyways, long story short - I'm thinking of selling and buying something else - been debating it for a few days now, but not sure if I'll be making a huge mistake.

Selling may be a good idea after all. I'm just curious how those first few buyers found you to begin with. Hmm. Think you can sell it for more than you paid?

No lol - the site has a pr of 0 - no articles what so ever, and has subsisted solely off of adsense and forums. So I doubt I could get much more than I paid for it. It's really just the click-ability factor that it has going for it that really is what makes it so easy to get 600 - 700 a month from.

The other thing I was thinking of, which might be able to control how much I get is to do an adwords campaign and literally just stop promoting the moment I reach my limit for the month - but that makes me feel kind of guilty- like i'm cheating the system or something.

(Actually I believe the term "seller's remorse" does exist )

Congrats on the Web Site, can you at least share what you are selling to gain such significant profit?

Sure lol - I wish I could disclose the website, but I just don't want to risk people associating it with my forum postings - especially if I decide to keep it long term.

I sell web design - lol - it's 789 for the typical package - I get 50 percent commission for bringing in the work to the designers, and the designers get 50 percent for doing the design work. Lots of you might have an issue with that kind of arrangement, but the designers are happy with it so it works out.

My job consists mainly of getting the traffic, and then sending the "clients" off to the web designers.

For those of you who have asked what the website is, just message me and I will send you the URL.

If you are doing an online business, your income is going to fluctuate from month to month. The only way to have a static income from online work is to write articles for other website owners.

You said somebody had offered you 20.000 bucks for the site 20.000 is nothing if your site makes 600 bucks for a few days, but this is a good price for the site which brings only 600 bucks a month.

No, she said someone offered her money.

I advised her not to take it, UNLESS it is 20.000 dollars And then she said it wasn't even near that...
