Default Why is it good to be ranked well at Technorati?

Does a good technorati rank guarantee more traffic? Or what is the point? Why should I make the effort?

Technorati in and of itself doesn't mean anything. In fact its not really that accurate, you see tons of blogs ranked way higher than they should be. The reason you want a high ranking is because it reflects having a lot of incoming links. Incoming links are very good. The links are what is valuable about the ranking, not the ranking itself.
