Dwane - when I see these posts - and I see alot of them - it is usually by people that are not making any money online that want to make money online. They want the people that are making $100,000 a month online to tell them what all of the secrets are.

What are you doing to make money online?
How are you doing it?
How long have you been doing it?
How much money do you make?

I use dropshipping.. The key to dropshipping is finding a product that isn't over saturated in the market.

eventually i'll buy my products direct or bulk wholesale and be set.

i also use ebay.

Adsense and other PPC are very useful. I've got Adsense on my brand new site, w/ pretty much no traffic and have made around 5 bucks. Not bad!

Right now I'm kicking around some ideas to come up with a site that can generate some heavy traffic and use PPC and Adsense.

I'm a very hands off guy. I know I'm going to have to put in some long hours. my goal is to be able to have a site that will allow me to generate some nice profits.

Mostly Project Wonderful on my personal sites, although some sites have AdSense too.
The biggest source of revenue for me is behind the scenes - designing my clients' sites, and providing hosting (via Stainless Design and Hosting For A Quid).

I try to follow my bliss, which is writing, writing, writing. My specialty is terse-verse humor/satire, both with left-wing political one-line zingers and bumper stickers at seriouskidding.com .

What are you doing to make money online?
Create websites targeting niche topics monetized with PPC ads and affiliate products. Currently researching site flipping and domaining.
How are you doing it?
Research topics that interest me and attempt to find a niche within those topics
How long have you been doing it?
Almost 1.5 years.
How much money do you make?
Less than $50 dollars a month
Patrick,

I'm not looking for the secret, I don't think there is one. This poll is necessary to compare the findings from the one I referenced. This is unscientific I know but i think it's important to give context as how one is making money online.

"making money online", is a difficult thing to do and I hope these polls gives perspective as the money being made and how one is doing it.

I've made more money in less time hiring myself out as a handyman than the revenue my websites have produced. However, I know my sites and future projects will take me where I want to go in life. It's going to take time and persistence.

Having an option like: I don't have a moneymaking website would help the good results. A few of those people will probably click Other, none of the above.

I have adsense on my blogs but I have made nothing from them yet and I have pretty good traffic.
I sell articles to e-zines.
I have ideas for websites, but I've been looking into how to create websites and the whole thing is just too complicated for me. If I could use one of the free web hosts and put ads there and make money that way, it would be easier for me. One day I would love to build real websites.

PinkHighlighter, there are plenty of folks on this very board who can help you out. Dani can make you a decent website on a profit-share basis, or I can do you one for a (slightly higher but one-off) fee. I'm sure there are many, many others here too.
Which reminds me, mods - any chance we can have a sticky post in which the designers and developers from this forum can offer their services? Seems like we've a lot of people who could do with a dedicated website designer, and plenty of people asking for services. It'd also be nice to see just how many developers we've got here, so that I don't have to just keep recommending Dani and myself.
(EDIT - in fact, I should probably post that request as a new thread rather than hijacking this one, huh?)

Indeed, many of the get-rich-quick schemes are just absurd. It's worth staying well away from most of them. You'll end up spending hard earned cash.

I use Payperpost, Adsense, Text links, private placements, hosting, etc.. to keep my sites online.
