So i have made some of the pages of the website using asp.net. Now i need to host it on a good server. My question is where should i host it .Some people suggested me hostgator. If so, what is the beginning plan for a starter and which hosting should i use.Do they have options to upgrade once your traffic increases. Kindly provide me your feedback on the services you have used.I will ask about adsense and all later |

I am not one of the people you mentioned but yes, hostgator is very good. I pay 9$ a month for hosting and domain. They have live customer service online 24/7 and the server is always responsive. If you wanted to upgrade I'm sure they would be happy to do so.

Hostgator is the most recommended by the majority of 'real' internet marketers. I personally use GoDaddy, because it's all I knew at the time I was looking for hosting. It's been fine for me -- great customer service. |

I have also heard good things about Hostgator so maybe go with them. Lol sorry but... I don't know what this is. Pretty much every single web host in existence has upgrade options available. They usually taunt them front-and-center on the home page of their website. It should be pretty easy to find out what their options are for hosting packages. | |

Importing Free Blog to New Proper Domain - How? Oh and I have no idea about upgrading your hosting for higher traffic sorry!!!!! I don't even know the traffic limits for which I signed up for lol! I have GoDaddy and Bluehost. I decided on Bluehost for my last website because some people told me that GoDaddy at times can freeze your account if suddenly you get a high spike in traffic. I like both. The only thing about Bluehost is that you have to pay the 1 year hosting package in one go, instead of per month or 3 months like GoDaddy. |

Asp.net is an awesome technology for creating and deploying web pages.I have already tested my website on my comp using iis server. So i need a good asp.net webhost which i think i will settle down with hostgator. Although i curse my current IT job, but i will always be grateful to my company for making me learn the .net technology and its wonderful applications Quote:

I use hostgator, but I have a couple of sites with GoDaddy too (these were my first sites and I knew no better lol). My hostgator account is $9.95 a month, and I host about 30 sites on it! If you only need to host one site it's cheaper (I think $3.95 a month?!)

Make sure the host you choose can run ASP.NET--most of the companies listed in this thread are Linux based hosting, which youcan't run an ASP.NET site on. Make sure whoever you go with offers Windows hosting and supports the version of .NET you used to build your site.

Godaddy is currently the hottest webprovider because of the TV commericals (Which are tacky as a 500lb woman in a aqua mumu) I don't like it's CP though and the options for the price aren't so great. If you're tight on money there are better options out there. You can also check out this website that reviews some of the most popular websites. Inmotion Hosting Review - Customer Reviews of Inmotion Hosting But I'd avoid bluehost. I heard about them and there somes some scam surrounding them. Don't remember I read it a few months ago. Cheers. |

I use BlueHost for three websites and I have zero complaints. Actually, I highly endorse them because of their grade A customer service, which I've used at least a dozen times so far. It's also cheaper than HostGator by a couple dollars a month.
