| Write a newsletter that contains valuable content, updates, and humor, and send it to your customers. A delivery service I used a few years ago had an absolutely hilarious newsletter. So I read every single one! This occasionally led me to buy more products from them, and they were always the first to come to mind when I needed a speedy delivery.

You can just use your humor in whatever type of business you end up going with. Especially if you're planning on starting a blog, humorous blog posts are always the best. Here's a blog that I visit regularly that I think does a good job of incorporating humor into blog posts that still share information. Blogger Illustrated Video Blogging If you want to start a business completely based on your humor, well... make sure you're funny. |

I thought the rehab thread was really funny. As in for real laughing out loud. If I look at that, it is a humorous parody of people you know. Maybe some short stories? Fiction, or parodies of public figures? There's got to be some humor to go along with bug collecting. |

I'm actually thinking about trying to freelance humorous articles. That's something I would excel at and really enjoy. I have no clue though if that can be done. Glad you enjoyed the Rehab thread! I'll be updating it some more... |

I did a bit of a search and apparently over at Cracked.com, you can submit your comedy articles. That could very well be the most awesome thing in the world. I love to rant and I love to make jokes. Cracked is all about ranting and making fun of things. Maybe I'll try starting there. -Tim |

A lot of comedians are using Youtube. BallonShop is a notable example. So if your comedy would fit that medium-- a lot of people are looking for it there.

So I'm in the Cracked workshop for writing articles now. Now the real fun part begins: figuring out what to write about. They like their articles to have a shred of truth to them so I suppose I have to keep an eye out for whacky observations. Like the fact that Michael Jackson is going on tour from beyond the grave. Or Amazon's Guide to Pedophilia, which has been in the news lately. I think I'll start with pitching a list of end-of-the-world scenarios. Meteor, super-volcano, nuclear war... the kind of thing people want to read about! I'd rather write for The Onion or some other satirical new's website. Anyone know of one that hires Canadians? I'd love to write a story about Joe Jackson's latest plans for Michael's corpse. -Tim |
