Default Doing a Fun and Exciting Job Search

Ok, so I started doing a job search, and I realized I was doing this in a very boring manner I might have done in the past. No more! My life has been exciting for a little while and I don't see why that has to change just because I'm doing a job search now. So, I'm asking all the smart people here, what are your tips and advice to conduct the job search in a fun and exciting manner?

- Tell people you are looking for a job! And I mean everyone! On the bus, while waiting in line etc!

- Look for a company that excites you to work for, and just call them (without knowing if they are looking for someone) and start a friendly conversation with someone within the company and see if they could use someone of your quality

- Go to the business district of where you are living (in suit) and just go knocking on doors, get to know the companies that are there.

- Invite your future boss for lunch (get to know the company you want to work for and the area you want to work in )

I like your suggestions Sandra, especially the one about calling companies that seems like a fun place to work for! Would be a fun exercise in courage and maybe authority! Thanks!

Another one I like that seems fun was written on my facebook - to apply for jobs that I know I don't qualify for.

Hah! I knew someone would write this off-topic question on this thread! If you really want an answer, feel free to start a thread called something like "Why would seeker5 want a job???" or ask me in private.

I'd prefer to keep this thread for suggestions on how to conduct a job search in a fun and exciting way.

Oooh, I love this idea. I have been thinking of this exact thing, too! I need to find a second job. I like ssandra's ideas, too.
