 |  Do back links make a difference?
We have started a new site Welcome to AmnicoDirect.comand we want to know if back links make a difference? We have a PR of 0 how can we get it higher? Any help would be great. Thanks |

sczzy You will definitely want to have backlinks to your website to increase your pagerank. The key is having "relevant" backlinks. A site selling pet food would want other pet related sites linking to it and not landscaping companies etc. It was once explained to me in terms of this analogy: Think of two research papers on the same topic. If there are two research papers and one has 3 references cited (backlinks) and another site on that same topic has 1,000 references (backlinks)....the site with 1,000 references is seen by Google has being more relevant and providing more valuable content - increasing pagerank. You may want to search for sites that relate to the product catagories you are offering - medical etc. Wish you the best, Robert PS.
