 |  Company Website Perceptions?
What are your thoughts on a company that has a standard template for a website? I mean, they would add their own pictures and text and change it around a bit, but it is fairly obvious they used a template. Do you think less of them? Does it hurt their reputation? I'm not talking about a national corporation or a website design company that does this (although I have seen website design companies use standard templates, lol), but just your standard small business? I don't know, maybe I'm just too picky about things. |

The only thing that really bugs me for some reason are those stock pictures of professional looking people acting like they are doing something. Content usually trumps all. If the website has what people are looking for, they will overlook bad designs. Also the average internet user doesn't even know what a template is, so I doubt many business (except for maybe web design companies) would ever give it a second thought. |
