Now many website master make money form google adsense, such as markus007 said he made a million in 3 months. How I made a million in 3 months. and Steve and Erin also make big money from their blog(how much now?). But I only get several dollors from my website. My first goal is get $100/day from google adsense. Before that I would not quit my job.

I'm not sure it's ever a good idea to rely too much on one single source of income. I'm a great fan of Adsense, but if you want to support yourself well, you need to make sure that if one revenue stream falls away (for whatever reason) then you have several others to fall back on.

But how much did he spend to get 3 million in adsense revenue? Would you still be inspired if he spent $2,999,999 and made a profit of $1?? Once you make your goal of $100 a day move into other revenue streams, affiliate marketing, dropshipping, consulting etc. Once these other streams make $100 or more a day then quit your job. It's a great way to get starting in creating online revenue streams but a very unreliable way to make a full time living.

Steve does make a good deal of money from adsense. I, however, didn't make much on ErinPavlina.com. Of course, I didn't have the traffic he gets so it was all relative. But now that I offer readings, I don't need the adsense revenue. On one of my other sites I've been making $600 to $700 per month from Google. Not stellar, but still good for the amount of traffic it gets.

If you want to make money online you have to visit JohnChow.com. He's the cheeky chap that had the "I Love Steve Pavlina" Ads. I think he makes about $10,000 a month from various Ad programs and Reviews. He's got a ton of helpful articles for creating revenue and upping your traffic. Dan |

Do you want to make money scamming people though? All those girls on Markus' website claim to be from my hometown. It's obviously a trick done using the IP number. That doesn't seem like a very honest way to make a living, but I guess that's why I haven't made a million yet. |

What you are missing in this breakdown are the expenses of advertising his site in order to get that much traffic. Adsense is an easy earner and I really like it (Between 20% and 40% of my income comes from it), but I would hate to depend entirely on it. Just like everything which is easy, Adsense does not provide the best results. A step over it is affiliate marketing - it requires more effort, but if you do it right, the results are better. And then comes developing own product - see for example Erin's experience by selling her own stuff compared to earning from Adsense.

| When I ask people wishing to make money on the internet how much money they need to make, $100 per day is the most often mentioned amount by far. I think it is a good starting point but not really enough money for most people.

Just wondering if anyone has analysed how many quality hits you need for lets say 100$ per month income from adsense. Is there a formula for this to give you a rough idea as I know it depends a lot on the quality of links and the site. Are there any tips on how to maximise the income from adsense?

1. The CTR (click-thru ratio) on the ads - depends on your niche, your visitors, your site quality, the positioning of the ads, colors etc 2. The average CPC (cost per click) - depends on the keywords on your site and the topic it covers. I have seen CPM (cost per thousands impressions, i.e. pageviews) between $0.5 and $50. Which means if you make $0.5, you need to have 200,000 page views per month to make $100. If you can make $50 CPM, then all you need is 2,000 pageviews

It's good that you have goals and objectives but putting all your eggs in one basket is never a good idea. There are lots of ways to make money online. You've got adsense, affiliate ads, reviews, links, buying and selling, etc. Google has the ability to make you lots of money but they also can take it all away buy effecting your websites performance through the serps. Marcus find is a very rare case. I also agree with UberDan, check out johnchow.com
