Default Advice on new project to help environment

For the last few months my business partner and I have been designing a project to help with the conservation and reforestation of the fragile Ecuadorian Environment along with the protection of endangered animals that are targeted by black market animal traffickers and the economic development of indigenous villages using Volunteer Work as the catalyst for change.

Here is the website:
Ecuador Eco Volunteer: Home

its not finished yet, there are a few things we have to update like the Spanish School and Volunteer Work Packages but i was hoping some people could give me some constructive criticism to improve the site.

originally i used to a different wordpress theme but decided i wanted it to be as similar as possible to the flagship Ecuador Eco Adventure: Home to create a type of brand between the sites and encouraging cross selling, ie. giving discounts to volunteers on the ecotourism we offer. that meant i had to laboriously change the colours of the original theme to blue...but it still doesnt look as polished or professional as the original green theme??

the blog i think is good because it puts an human face behind the site and as the project grows and evolves we can write more about the impact we are making which will hopefully encourage more people to come volunteer with us.

i would particularly appreciate advice on what i have written on each of the volunteer work programs, for example here:
Ecuador Eco Volunteer: Coastline Regeneration

ive put things under headings like What to Expect While Volunteering, which explains a typical day so the person reading the site can imagine him or herself volunteering on that project; and Why This is Important, to explain how and why the volunteer would be making a difference.

I think the writing is important because it more than anything will persuade someone to come with us over any of the multitude of other companies out there. i want to try and convey a sense of urgency (because the Ecuadorian environment like other places in the world is being destoyed at an alarming rate) and importance while keeping it of high integrity and without resorting to manipulative copywriting.

all ideas very welcome
