Always thinking of ideas Dreamers Go-getters Don't take no for an answer Finds solutions Nut things out Non stop thinkers Creative thinkers A lot have ADD (meaning they are always jumping from ideas or task for stimuli) Quick on their toes Impatient Stubborn Don't like be dictated to Don't like to be controlled Likes to have control Down-to-earth Friendly Helpful Passionate Like concepts Thinks of the big picture Cunning Notice loopholes Always find solutions to problems Never gives up The list could go on but you can say they have all this in common, but there does seem to be a common thread. I think the one that stands out for me, is that I have read, time and time again, that entrepreneurs have very ADD like personality traits, they can't sit still, they always have to challenge themselves with ideas I don't have one favorite businessman. A lot of people inspire me though. Last edited by ellie; 07-25-2010 at 11:10 AM. |

I would say that greed is not the main trait of entrepenurs. Some business people, yes... entrepenurs on the whole not as much. Entrepreneurs are all about ideas and seeing them come to light. They do like money though, but I wouldn't say that's there only focus. |

| Roy Disney... the man single handedly kept the Company afloat, even when Walt's ideas almost ran the company out of business many, many times. As for traits a business man must possess? I think the tenacity to keep fighting onward, even when the road my be getting grim and dark. Someone who has an idea and then gives up at the first obstacle is not an entrepreneur, but is simply a dreamer... |

Some things I've seen successful entrepreneurs have that unsuccessful ones often lack: -Absolutely ruthless triaging abilities, focusing on getting the important things done yesterday and ignoring everything else -An impeccable understanding of the target market. Almost everyone focuses on what they can do/what they have to offer, rather than really focusing on what prospects want. This is a major mistake because you are ultimately in the business of providing value to others...and what they value is often different from what YOU value. -Fantastic social/managerial skills -Enormous amounts of energy |

"Speed of Implementation" is another important point. Successful entrepreneurs don't wait until they are completely ready or everything is perfect for a good start. They go with a good idea and put it immediately into action to test it. My favorite business man is Eben Pagan. Right now I'm in his "GURU Blueprint Program" and he is very very good. |
