Default Online Stores?

Does anyone know of the best site or place to create online stores? I know amazon has this feature but it doesn't pay much.

What I am looking for is to create an online store that I can add to one of my sites that would be mostly jewelry that either have healing gemstones or the colors of the seven chakras, etc..

I have found sites who want to charge such as
Shopping Cart Software, E-Commerce Software & Online Store Solution by 3DCart
Try a Demonstration ShopSite Store
Multiple Ecommerce Platform | ASP.NET Shopping Cart Software
Or even something like yahoo shopping cart but that costs quite a bit.

Does anyone have something they use or would recommend?

Big Cartel - Simple shopping cart for artists, designers, bands, record labels, jewelry, crafters for artist, if you only want 5 items it's free
Shopify — Create Your Online Store I've heard this is very good.

I've heard Ecommerce Software & Shopping Cart Software Solutions by BigCommerce is a good option. Starts at $25 per month.

I'm a fan of Shopify also. Check out their examples. CrossFit Store is on there, some others that look good. However, a buddy of mine just opened a jewelry store on 3Dcart and it's pretty sharp.

If you are just starting out, you could just sell them on Etsy instead of on your own website.

I use Shopfiy and I love it. The only thing is that there's a 2% charge for each sale in addition to your monthly charges. I had Volusion before but it wasn't so good. I also tried 3dCart and it was OK. So far, Shopify works best because it easily intergrates with my email list software and so much more.

You can read shopping cart reviews here: eCommerce Software Review 2012 | Best Web Store Builder Software | eCommerce Website Design Software - TopTenREVIEWS

Good luck! And remember, you can always sign up for free trials to test the software. That's how I learned what best worked for me.

Ecwid: E-Commerce Widgets
You create product catalog (descriptions, pictures, prices) on their site and they give you the widget.
You may embed this widget into any blog or website and it instantly becomes your online store.
You may even embed your ECWID online store to your facebook page.
This way you may launch 10 online stores on different blogs and websites and manage them all from one place.
And they don't take cut off your sales, unlike Shopify.
They have free fully functioning plan - perfect to try and start selling.
