Default What does Wealth mean to you? BarclaysWealth.com

Interesting site from Barclays Bank :: WHAT DOES WEALTH MEAN TO YOU? :: Barclays Wealth with some PDF documents here with furture trends and statistics on wealth.

The wealthiest business sectors, top earners, global economic trends, YouTube! If you can keep awake while reading it (or speed read) there are some good pointers

In under a decade 26% of UK households are projected to have a net worth of £1,000,000. And the UK has the highest number of millionaires of the G7 countries.

Default home values included in wealth statistics?

If the UK is anything like the US this stat is based on projections that house prices will continue to rise. I'm most interested in wealth stats that don't include the value of people's homes because that means people are getting richer on paper just because inflation is out of control (home price inflation). What does this say for the folks that don't own homes? Are they getting richer too. No. They are getting poorer because their wages are steady while prices are going up.

Sorry this turned into a rant. I haven't even read the article yet.

You wanna know how to be a millionaire. Buy a house and sit on it for 20 years.

It was a mockery, I would not do it ethier. The point is that it is not that card.

My expereince has thought my two schools on wealth
1. Being cheap and living below your means
2. Learning ways to create wealth.

The reason I would not read Millionaire Next Door or see David Bach is that they support the first one, I like Kiyosaki, Trump, Joint Venture programs and even Steve since they talk about the second one.

Thanks,
Mukul Verma
