I've been trying to set up a master mind alliance as per Think and Grow Rich for my ventures (sorry i cross posted in two forums, not sure which forum is the right one, forgive me if this offends anyone!), and it's been quite hard. The people I meet with good financial skills are not particularly trustworthy, people who have talents that I will need for the venture are not into personal development and refuse to read Think and Grow Rich, people who are both trustworthy and have skills are more interested in other things then being rich... The only support I've been getting for the past few months are various forums such as these... Right now I think I'll do fine without an alliance, but eventually I will - can I rely on people on the internet? Highly doubtful, and TaGR says this is vital. Any tips? (If anyone's interested, I've started part time study to pursue a career in psychology, and right now income is from my old job which I'm continuing part time, as well as some internet streams of income that is still in its infancy - I have all the skills more or less required for this - but when I finish my pysch degree I plan to expand and thats when I will need a solid mastermind alliance.) |

Hey flying man, I do not think a mastermind alliance is vital to success, but I know it could help a lot. I also have read TaGR it was my first personal development book. If you were to build a mastermind group, what would you pursue with it? I am looking to build internet income streams in the very near future, do you have MSN? |

thanks morgan, that's what I thought too - I mean Steve got a great blog and income going by himself didn't he - but the section on MA really drilled it into my head - and I thought hmm what if Erin is part of his MA? All the girls I've dated detract from my goals, so I'm staying away from a partner/girlfriend as a MA...Steve's lucky to have met a lady like Erin! Wandering Oak, a mastermind alliance is one of the ingredients Hill says is vital...it's basically a group of people who encourage each other in the same goal. And also to make up for the skills that you need. For example, in my business class, they mentioned 3 types of people -sellers, producers, and admin people, and you need all three to run a good venture. I'm a producer - I'm learning to sell and learning the admin side of things, but if I had trustworthy people, who also read and practice TAGR, who are good in selling, and so on, we can become more then the sum of our parts. In more esoteric terms, 3 brains can attract more from the Infinite Intelligence then one brain can. |

2 people in synergy = same output as 3 individuals 3 people in synergy = same output as 6 individuals 4 people in synergy = same output as 10 individuals and so on. It's not just output either. You all have different contacts and resources that alone might not be usefull but together become powerful. Having people you can trust to be honest with you is very useful too. Masterminds are obscenely powerful when you get 10 or so people together. Every successful business person is a member of some sort of MM group, although they may not call it that. They all have a group of confidants who they work with and go to for advice. |

You might be able to successfully network with individuals online. However, I am not sure if you can fully 'synergise' with people you haven't even met in person. There is the trust issue for one thing. How do you trust people you have never met to be truly honest? For all you know, one or more members of your 'virtual MasterMind' could be a scam artist who will do whatever it takes to gain your trust, then run off with your money at the first chance he has. Admitedly, you may run similar risks dealing with such individuals in person, although I know I will be mainly work with people that I know or have somebody I trusted vouch for them.
