Hi. I just started experiencing paypal 'disputes' for items that I have delivered and in most cases paypal has been biased towards the buyer. I am using the paypal 'buy now' button creator on their website. I have learnt that buyers cannot mainly dispute digital/service products. So my question is how do I use paypals 'buy now' button creator to create a 'buy now' button for a digital/service product. |

Paypal is biased toward buyer - this is correct. To sell digitals with paypal - use e-junkie.com service. It's $5/mo and very reliable. I suggest to consider refunds and stolen digital products as a cost of doing business, sort of like taxes that you cannot avoid. To protect yourself against unruly buyers and serial refunders consider remote license controlling feature. But if you're selling ebooks - there is little you can do about it. If you're selling software - you may come up with remote license deactivation feature, that is if you're sophisticated enough to make it. Although even in this case it's questionable whether it is beneficial as a long term business strategy. Gleb |
