I've gotten myself into a pickle that I don't know how to get out of. My brother is making threats to either finish a project or not. First, he tells me to take the rest of the project as my payment, then he tells if I do, I can't use his truck and he'll report it stolen, even though we have used it for prior aspects of the project. As well as saying there are aspects of the project I'm responsible for, that I'm not made aware of prior. Such as a loan, or his agreement to pay commission on things. |

Its financial. I'm committed to the project, and he has in the past forced my compliance with projects based on my original commitment. Only he can renegotiate as things go, or rather dictate things. I've been without work for so long and dug myself a hole, this project aims to make a lot of money quickly. Turns out it isn't. He is also blaming me for his subsequent loan he took out for an ill advised agreement he made with his investor, which he is suppose to have lost face with, which is also my 'responsibility'. And he expects me to be so grateful for something I've barely seen rewards for. And that objective hasn't even been complete. The initial point of the project wasn't for him to make money, but to help me get back on my feet and me earning it in the process. Even if it is a low conscious method of doing so. |

Your commitment - is this a legal commitment or a moral commitment? Are you someone who when you make a commitment finds it virtually impossible to ditch it? What is binding you to this commitment? In what ways does he 'force your compliance' based on commitment? What will happen if you say 'no, I'm not complying, you are 100% totally responsible for your decision to take out a loan and you signed the papers' (assuming that is indeed the case?) If you walk away from it all and wash your hands of it: what is the worst that can happen what is the best that can happen what is the worst that will NOT happen what is the best that will NOT happen? |

Is the pain of continuing with this agreement greater than the pain of walking away from it? Get a job at Starbucks and pay your bills. You can do the get rich quick stuff around it. |
