If you'd be assigned a task to generate income with 1-page website.
Anything goes.
What would you do?

Affiliate marketing... I would say adsense, but they have been on a terror as of late getting rid of of 1 page "made for adsense" sites.

Also a privacy policy page and contact us page are recommended.

The most obvious thing seems to be have the 1 page be a sales page and use things like Adsense ads to drive traffic to it.

Or, if you had a more limited budget, you could set up the sales page and then go write articles for ezinearticles with links in them to send traffic to the page.

One of my 1-page affiliate marketing page had better success that multi-page fully build affiliate marketing site.

Step 1: Create a product. This is the internet; An ebook, for example, is good.
Step 2: Promoting the product on your page.
Step 3: Get reasonable amounts of traffic.
Step 4: Sell that book.

Example: Paleo Diet Cookbooks - 310 Delicious Paleo Friendly Recipes
