And if so, was it useful? I've never started a business before, and it seems like a good idea for some legal mind to put the appropriate documents together (at least the free government websites I've seen have suggested it), but I don't know if that's just me being intimidated by a process I'm not familiar with / just plain lazy.

Yup. I used LegalZoom about five years ago when I started an LLC in Nevada.

Works as advertised...no problems that I can recall.

Thanks! So, did you use them just for the LLC filing, or did you also use them for services like getting and EIN from the IRS, state related filings, etc?

I used them just for the LLC filing.

Obtaining the EIN is too easy, you can do it in minutes... go here

I did everything else myself
