Default Bidding on a domain that is .co.uk instead of the incredibly popular .com

Hm quite by chance, I typed a very popular website address in but instead of typing .com I typed .co.uk and found it is available but you have to bid on it (at least $1000)

Was just wondering if anyone has any experience of how much you could get from such a domain, just placing google ads and a link to the domain they really want?

Wondering what the likely ROI on a bid would be (though of course I have no idea if the bid would be successful and whether that investment would more than repay itself?)

iDreamCatcher is on a distinguished road
Default

If it's not available for registration at standard domain registration fee - just ignore it.
If it's already registered by some domaineer or reseller - they'll pimp you in for $1000 and then will try to suck you in for as much extra cash as they can.

They know it perfectly well that .co.uk or any other non- .com domain is close to being worthless in the eyes of google. But they don't want you to know that.
