I ve been living in the UK for 8 years. studied english first couple of years but then stopped. now my accent is bad, and also grammar and vocabulary is not good either. and this effects my career. sb please tell me. how can i speak and write proper english? |

The U.K. is a English speaking part of the world . Pratice english talking to the other peolple there as well as online forums . Make smal talk. Where are you from ? You like this weather ? ect.Tell the people you talk to you are learning English . I have been speeking English for over 50 years and still cant spell some words . desert rat |

| If it were me, I would go on YouTube. Find some famous speeches or songs then look up the lyrics/words in Google and follow along (out loud). Just to get started. From there, I'd get more technical and start reading and writing.
