 |  My favorite youtube video Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe on Lamb Castration, PETA, and American Labor In case you don't watch TV. On the discovery channel, there is this show called Dirty Jobs, where the host shadows a worker performing difficult, strange, disgusting, or messy occupational duties. Here he is giving a talk on ForaTV sharing some of his experiences of doing this work and some of the deeper things about life that he has learned while being on the show. Of particular interest to me is his insights on American Labor, and the forces that are affecting it and the consequences on US society @16:00. It has helped resolve an internal debate that I had several months ago that was related to Steve Pavlina's "10 Reasons Why You Should Never Get a Job." I thought it would be helpful if I shared it here for those that were like me. In the end, rational arguments always win.
