Default What I love about eBay...

eBay and I have a love/hate relationship. When it's good it's good and when it's bad it's bad.
At the moment, it's good! Lots of sales, decent prices, shipping is a bit staggered so I'm not in the post office every other day.
I listed some bugs last week. I had a whole whack of different things, some from the US, others from Ecuador, a few from Congo and quite a number of things from Tanzania.
Now, any bug collector knows that stuff from the US is tough to come by. I mean, it's damn near impossible. Very rarely does it appear on the market. Then you've got Tanzania. I'm surprised there are still insects in that country the way that stuff floods the market.
So, I start everything at $0.99. I list my rare US beetle with full collecting data and five auctions of Tanzania beetles (no data so worthless to a collector) all at the same time. I checked the ending prices last night. The rare US beetle sold for $0.99. No harm as I exchanged for it. Those stupid Tanzania beetles sold for 2-3 times the RETAIL price! I paid a wholesale price, lol.
That's what I love about eBay. If you list something that is visually appealing, you have a good chance that people are going to go crazy over it. It bears no meaning what you think it's worth, it's what the customer thinks it's worth.

That's interesting. I'd love to sell something on eBay for a big profit. Lot's of fun.

For example I would love to explore in nature and if I find an interesting rock, gem, bone, whatever, would be able to sell that on eBay. I would just LOVE that. But I don't know if you can sell stuff like that.

I also love that I can buy on eBay using paypal. I have bought a few books on ebay using paypal
