It's not meant to. You'll have to access those stats from your hosting management control panel.

Im not aware of a service that provides that 'specific' of information - search keywords that is...

Thank you again Granted!

Ok. New problem. Just discovered can only have 3 adsense ads on each page of my website.

That's a problem because my blog has 20 articles per page and I really wanted to have a small advertisement at the end of each article, and 2 larger advertisements throughout the very big articles.

Anyone have any knowledge about this issue and how I can overcome it?

You're allowed three slots with each slot containing 3 ads AFAIK.

You're not able to place an ad after each post, 20 in your case, because thats more than three

Best you could do would be to have seven posts, one Adsense slot (with three ads) then another seven posts, then a second Adsense slot, then another six posts and a final slot for example.

Actually, it looks like you can have 4 ads per ad unit/slot.

It's kinda confusing.

Sorry, not an expert

The adsense html probably contains the page URL. You'll have to fix that or get an updated adsense code.

I am going to redirect my old blog to my new website when I have added all the posts and everything.
It's possible that this will happen in the short run but the benefit of having your own domain beats it by far in the long run.

I've never seen these things on a dashboard; sound like plugins. Compare Dashboard -> Plugins on your new and old site and get any plugins you are missing on the new site.
Alternatively use Google Analytics. It's an awesome traffic analytical tool.

Ok So after trying to import my old blog on my mac with no success, I did the same export import thing on a PC and it worked........

Mostly..........

The blog is blank

The comments aren't there.

It didn't transfer the old theme.

By the way, I did this after I put a new theme on my new wordpress website, and copied and pasted every post which took me hours. So now there is two pages of everything. So I will have to delete half the pages.

The comments are the biggest issue to me. How do I transfer all the comments people have left?

I would feel bad just wiping all that out?

Any help?

Thanks much. Much.

The theme won't transfer, it's not supposed to.

Did you install Wordpress yourself on the new host, or was it an automatic installation from the host's control panel? If you have an old version, it may not import properly.

The help says it's XML, so if you open the file you exported/downloaded in a text editor, you might be able to check whether the comments are actually in it. (It will be quite big so you might need to search for particular phrases.)

Brrrrt....wish I was here earlier so I coulda warned you that you are wasting money and time by having separate accounts for your domain and host. Most new hosts will give you a FREE domain name for the first year for signing up with them. And you don't have to fool with pointing it to the servers.

But ah well, live and learn.

Go to your current free blog and go to your dashboard, scroll down to Tools and then click on Export. Save the export file somewhere you can find it (it'll be an xml file type).

Go to your new blog's dashboard and scroll down to Tools and then click on Import and then find the file you saved and select it.

This will import all your posts, your categories, your pages, etc. (In other words if you've created NEW pages on your site before importing your old stuff, you'll probably see two of the same pages. All you have to do is delete the one that you don't want.)

Is it a new adsense code you created? Adsense is kinda wonky in that regard in that it takes some time for it to actally work. Give it a little bit of time (usually within an hour it starts working) and hit refresh.

You have to install that stuff. Go to Plugins and then click on "Add New" and then search for Stats (or if you look at the little tag cloud at the bottom there'll be a link for stats to click on if you want). You can install the typical wordpress stat counter, but in order for it to work you'll have to find your API key...which, if you install it and activate it, it'll tell you that you'll have to find it. Your API key will actually be in your wordpress account (the one that is free) and the warning SHOULD tell you where to find it.

If you can't get the wordpress stat counter to work (I never could get it to work for some damn reason), the stats counter I use on my site (that I really like) is called "StatpressCN". Install and activate that one is all you have to do and it'll start working immediately.
