Default Great ideas to make you a billionaire if you can implement them.

Ideas are worthless. I can't agree with it more. Just for fun, let me share with you all some great business ideas that can surely make you a billionaire if you can implement them.

1. Make a medicine that can cure AIDS. To make more money, make a medicine that can prevent AIDS.

2. Find a way to store, transmit and reproduce smell, taste and touch. Among the five senses, human beings are able to store vision and sound. If you can make the breakthrough, you'll be running a monopoly on the other three senses.

3. To beat Google, find a way to search pictures, video and audio files without having the uploaders attach keyword descriptions to them, e.g., invent a way to search the content of pictures, video and audio files instead of matching keywords. The big G will look like a little boy if you can do that.

4. Invent a way to transmit energy cordlessly. In fact, this is not an invention at all. Our Sun transmits a huge amount of energy to us cordlessly every day. But humans still need to use wires, cables and pipes. Even a cordless mouse require an internal battery. If you can make this invention, nobody will ever charge their cell phones again. Your real cordless phone will surely take all iphone's market share.

Human beings destroy information like it's going out of style.

Those things are all POSSIBLE, but only in a human world where "secrecy" (i.e. destruction) isn't the mode.

Why I Say This

1. Western medicine has not cured a single disease. Only "alternative" medicine can cure diseases, and it is illegal for a person to claim that they can CURE ANY disease unless they are licensed by the state. But sadly enough, the state does not cure diseases.

2. Those things have already been created - it's just not profitable for companies to develop and/or distribute them to the masses.

3. AI research has been hopelessly stifled at every advance. I COULD have written my dissertation about this if the "establishment" wasn't anti-information.

4. This exists right now. But big oil companies destroy technology that makes energy more efficient. Why? Oil.

Microsoft does the same things with operating systems...and any other information technology.

Human progress can only be stifled by corporations and big government for so long.

-Jesse

P.S. Those aren't billionaire ideas, those are trillionaire ideas.

A cure for AIDS may already have been found:

Scratch and sniff stickers, anyone?

And by reproducing taste, do you mean by using a computer or something? Because last I checked, a lot of processed foods are already made with artificial flavoring.

I suppose in the future, technology will allow computers to scan images and discern what is actually in the image, then relate it to certain keywords that a person searches for - without the uploader ever having to describe what is in the picture.

Same with audio and video.

As I recall, Nikola Tesla tried to do that, but ran out of funding. Not to mention the opposition he ran into from the energy industry's big names at the time.

As for the rest of us, Intel already has a prototype.

1. Has been done. The industry doesn't want it, vested interests in people staying sick.

2. A friend of mine is a scientist, told me about a guy who made a VERY interesting discovery a little along those lines. He wasn't taken seriously when he tried to get published, it was too "new agey". Seriously. He does have a small company making perfumes though

Google already does a lot more than using keywords from the website of the image.
Google has fairly good speech recognition software for audio and image recognition software.

That just false.
The technology to transmit energy cordlessly exists.
It's a technology without business model.

Why would someone burn coal to power the transmission of energy that everyone can afterwards use without having to pay?
At least that was Tesla's problem.

Polio, yellow fever, smallpox, hookworm, cholera... I could go on. Western medicine has provided countless advancements to the world of health and healing. To deny them is simple ignorance. Amputees have artificial limbs, stem cell research promises cures for a whole cornucopia of ailments, gene therapy is providing us with such an amazing and in depth understanding of the science behind inherited ailments. Technological advancements in neurology today are paradigm shattering. Scientists using SPECT scans have discovered physiological patterns of brain activity that directly correlate with states previously thought to be "purely psychological" such as depression, paranoia and violent behavior. Don't even get me started on surgical technology, which is now being coupled with controlled laser destruction of harmful cells and robotics technology. Western medicine is a testament to the will and tenacity of the human race to overcome disease and suffering.

I am mostly ignorant on the benefits and cures offered by other forms of medicinal practice, but do not treat Western medicine as the only way. I certainly do not devalue its thorough and systemic approach toward bodily health as you do. Many alternative therapies, upon further investigation, have been found to be totally bogus. Others such as acupuncture, aromatherapy and massage therapy have obvious physiological effects and result in numerous healings.

Western medicine still can't cure those diseases.

It can provide temporary immunity via vaccinations.

You are being pedantic. Those diseases have been almost completely eradicated thanks to vaccinations, which prevent the disease from being contracted thus disallowing it from a host organism and causing it to die off. It is preventative medicine. Many Western medicinal practice still relies on the efficiency of the human body's own immune system to do the actual curing part in many ailments. Western medicine simply bolsters the immune system's ability to do this, in most cases. However with some diseases, immune system response is impaired or rendered ineffective. Western medicine takes diverse approaches to medicine. You seem very ignorant of medical state of the art and history because you behave as thought holistic and western treatments are and always have been separate things. Western medicine is not one large conglomerate. There are different practices and methodologies, the two major ones being allopathic and osteopathic treatment. Osteopathy is in fact very holistic, seeing the body as a unit rather than a conglomeration of isolated parts. Allopathic medicine also has similarities with other 'traditional' forms of medicine such as Ayurvedic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (which includes acupuncture).

Osteopathy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Allopathic medicine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Medicine is a complex and complicated world with many different approaches. It is foolish to make such broad and unjustifiable claims as "Western medicine is bad and doesn't want to help people, holistic medicine is the way to cure disease". The world is never that simple.

In my country alternative medicine has been quite accepted. Moreover, licensing isn't a bad thing in itself. If I tell you I can heal you, you'd want at least some credentials I'm up to it, aren't you? If not, I have a Golden Gate bridge for sale just for you, special price.

I love the way people always 'blame' oil companies for repressing anything to do with energy. If large-scale wireless transmission of energy were economically and technically possible (and actually safe) we would have it.

Nikola Tesla didn't have the solution unfortunately.
