Oh, and this poll is genius to ask. It's good to hear about peoples ideas, beliefs and experiences about making money online or what people think the learning experience would be like.

It's interesting to see what people focus on around this topic.

Anyone actually want to make a go of this kind of challenge?
30-60-90 Days, X hours per day, $XXX start up capital and see what happens at the end?

Would be fun to do as a group.
What's up Vanessa!

I finally did it. I finally put the axe to my dead career's throat

It's good to be back in the world of the living.

Voted for $150. 3 months are a pretty short time for a website.

I'm a bit confused. If we make $30, does that mean we made the $500 back that we initially invested, for a gross amount of $530? Or does it mean we burned $500 while only recovering $30?

If it is just burning the $500, I will go for $150.

Consider signing up to BlogRollPlease.com - Buy & Sell BlogRoll Links -- they pay around $20 a month for a single text link on a PR4 blog. I had around 4 links running at one point (so around $90 a month).
Doesn't Google penalize people who use paid links? Or is that only if you are on the spending side?

You got it.

You're burning the $500 however you want. I'm assuming you'll buy things like products that tell you how to make money, perhaps marketing research tools, and/or coaching. You might buy advertising through Adwords. Things like that.

The question is getting at how much you could make minus the $500 you burned.

I picked 3,000, but before I read you saying I have three months to do it.

I am currently making around 500 a month online, so doubling that wouldnt be very hard at all.

I plan on making my living on the internet, so doubling my current income is a very pressing goal of mine.

Wow, it's awesome to see so many driven people in one place!

As a matter of fact, maybe some of you are interested in a joint venture of some sort. Let's see if we can help each other out one way or the other.

As for the income-question: I don't care about "passive" income. I want to work for the rest of my life. I know that I'm always going to be hustling.

I'm more interested in creating a "real" business. I truly believe that businesses, not nations or NGOs, are going to be the entities with real leverage to change the world: They make an income on their own, which means that they can fund themselves. In the end they can completely focus on helping people. Businesses truly offer a great opportunity for the shaping our future.

Again, your question: I don't have any blocks when it comes to money. I could be a millionaire tomorrow. It's very possible. Sure, it's not easy but it's also not as hard as some people make it out to be. That's my opinion and belief, though, and I may very well be wrong.

As a matter of fact: It's very likely that I'm wrong. However, I do believe that believing that getting money is the easy part is USEFUL. I think Richard Bandler said this: "A belief doesn't have to be accurate. It does have to be useful!" I can wholeheartedly agree.

I'm looking forward to Manomanman's book.

I want to know what to do in order to start making money with my site, not just dream about it. I have all the time in the world right now, and am just itching to get to the next step. I can't wait until I can post here: Made $30! Made $100! Made $500! Made $5000!!! Am afraid of researching on my own and getting wrong info!

Good point, I didn't check how many pages moxie has. It would also explain why my site is stuck on PR1 - too few pages.

I like the idea of a $500 challenge and would be up for it, but I'm about to head off to the UK to get married and travel for a year or so.
