Default Is there a market for guided meditation media?

I'm getting pretty hyped about this kind of stuff and I personally, really enjoy guided meditation. I'm considering doing some of my own stuff for personal use but was getting curious if there is a market for this kind of stuff.
I'd also be interested in doing recordings that help to eliminate limiting beliefs and do other NLP patterns.

Of course there's a market.
The hemisync stuff that Steve advertises is basically guided meditation with a few twists.

Often the guided meditation is also sold under the label of self hypnosis tapes.

Talking about this in terms of “bad news” or “bad judgment by business leaders” seems archaic. It’s like describing World War One as “a serious diplomatic concern.”

Yep there is a huge market - and lots of providers have risen to meet the demand. But there may well be a gap for you.

These are just the ones I've used myself:

Holosync (Centerpointe - pure entrainment)
Hemi Sync (Munroe Institute - hypnosis, MetaMusic)
Brain Sync (Kelly Howell - great for guided mediation)
Mind Sync (pure entrainment)
Unexplainable Store (pure entrainment)
Xphirience (new type of entrainment - very buzzy)
Relaxation-CDs.com (guided meditation, sounds)

I focus on promoting brainwave entrainment (binaural beats, isochronic tones) on my website: Top Binaural Beats MP3s for Lucid Dreaming and Deep Meditation - to me, they make simple hypnosis recordings feel outdated. But if you combine hypnosis/guided meditation with this kind of entrainment, that's when the magic happens.

And remember there is brainwave software that enables people to make their own tracks using a library of sounds, entrainment tones, even their own subliminal suggestions. This might even be how you plan to make yours, if you have the commercial license.

(Edit: This was another link that wasn't working.. I'll look it up and post it. Anyway it is called meditation podcast.)

I like them a lot...

Yes, there is a market.

Google what you would like to sell:

1. See what people is already selling.
2. See how many people is advertising in google those products. If they are willing to pay for advertising, it means that they are making money.
3. You can use this google tool to find how many people is looking for products similar than those you want to sell. For example, type the phrase "guided meditation media" to see how many people types this phrase in google every month.

This way you can get an idea of the size of the market you want to target.

In my opinion these recordings tend to be of very poor quality - I'd urge you that if you are going to do this you need to make them as high a quality of possible. There's far too much poor quality stuff out there already.

Shinzen Young's science of enlightenment is a good example of high quality guided meditation audio.

I sell guided meditation and hypnosis audios with and with out brain entrainment technology. I create both off the shelf audios and custom audios for the needs of a customer. I offer coaching services as part of if the customer wishes to be coached.

I do well with my mix of products and services. I record my own audios using my computer and audio editing and recording software. It is not Hollywood quality but is is more than adequate for the purpose of the audios I market.

The answer is yes there is a market for meditation and self help audios. If you decide to pursue audio production and sales one of your most important goals is to define your niche and market.

I prefer to sell my products as digital downloads but will ship a CD if that is the customers desire. I also offer a money back guarantee on all of my products.

I'm sure there is some kind of market for it. I bought a $77 mp3 download a few years ago that was a guided chakra meditation. So, there's one customer already
