| Hello, I know there are a lot of computer people on these forums, so I'm wondering if anyone has experience in selling their software business. I've run a successful shareware business for about 3 years. It's still going strong, but I want to focus my energy in other places now. Has anyone tried doing this? Any advice to offer? Thanks! |

| Never tried but here are a coupe of tidbits. Consultant an attorney, look into an escrow service for handling the money transaction, How are you planning to sell? You can try one of the businesses for sale websites. I would do a Google search to see which are the better ones to use. Finally, care to share what you are selling. I might be interested, PM if you would like to talk off line. Thanks and good luck.

| Thanks for the information. I'll take a look at the forum you suggested. The software tracks attendance for youth and community organizations. Customers are mostly schools, scout troops, churches, private businesses, and sports teams. You can find more information at Attendance Software |
