Hey, I just put up a really simple boxing site. Please take a look and tell me what you think. Cheers: Best Boxing Knockouts Do you like the layout? Did you enjoy the videos? What would you like to see more of (that would make you want to come back to the site regularly)? What did you not enjoy about the site? Thanks! |

I am not a boxing fan, but checked it out! These are my very first impressions of the first page. The slideshow is very compelling - great component to have. Like I said, I'm not a fan, but I wanted to click anyway! I didn't understand the inclusion of Boxing Exercise 1. What does that have to do with Best Boxing Knockouts? I could see if you were going to include something like that, to have a wholly separate space to put those in - maybe a third column? But to have it in there amongst the best knockouts seemed like a planted ad, rather than useful information. The grey text under Categories, Recent Posts and Recent Comments is very dark, and hard to see against the dark background. That's also true for the links across the top of the page - it took me looking at the page a couple of times to even see those! OK, I see now the front page of posts is every post, in order. For me, a non-fan, it would have more impact if those posts under the slideshow were only Best Knockouts - that's the name of the site, after all! And like I said earlier, have the exercises in a separate area. It's really a very good-looking site! |

This website looks very professional to me, quite impressive actually. The text in the top left looks a little "pixelated" though - a more high-definition font or logo would be better. There seems to be a few formatting issues whereby occasionally text appears with a double space or no space there there should be one. "Posted on December 3 2009 by admin" in my browser shows as "Posted on December 3 2009by admin" Writting is not the highest grammatical quality - but has a lot of gusto which is attractive. Links in the right menu bars - the grey ones - are visable ... but only just. I would increase the contrast a little by lightening the links one or two steps. |
