Hey everyone! I just finished the content on my SBI website. I just want to thank Steve for recommonending it on here. That's how I got into it.

This is my first SBI website so I'd be grateful if you guys and girls could go over and take a look at the site and just post any thoughts, comments, ideas to improve, on this post.

I would put a quote at the top that sums up your site, otherwise good job!

Ummm...You two are very cute.

Ok seriously now...I'd put the daily quotes as the main page. There's some work to be done regarding the fonts. Maybe adding some soothing or inspirational music could help. Are you making any money off the site yet? If so, how? Yes...I'm asking those questions as part of my own research

There is a forum section in the SBI! forums for asking for reviews of your site - you will probably get a more "educated" review of your site there (since people there know SBI, many of them make $1000's per month, so they can tell you what to do and what not to do).

My question is:

What is your goal with this site? Short term and long term? If you are looking to monetize this site, I may have some suggestions for you.

I`d suggest a "quote of a day" somewhere on the top or something like that...

And then....blue is not motivational for me AT ALL

. I`d change the color scheme, use warmer colors like yellow...for an example or if you MUST use blue then add some orange to it, those two match really well.

Otherwise, very cool

Curtis- Thanks man, I totally forgot about that! (Homer Simpson "doh" moment). Will do that now.

Quote generator would be an awesome idea. Not sure how to make one. I'll do some research into that.

We're getting about 45 visitors per day. It's going up everyday though, so that's good.

Hey. The website looks pretty good, a little boring in my opinion. I think that can be easily solved if you put some work into the aesthetics. Just curious, where are you getting your traffic from? Keep up the good work.

I like it.
Simple to use, easy to navigate.
Just add Google analytics to it and setup XML sitemaps with Google webmasters tools acoount and you'll be almost set.

Hi BFA,

Here are a few things I thought of.

1. I really like the use of the pictures with the quotes; I'm a picture guy myself and I'm sure that lots of people will appreciate them. There are lots of sites with quotations, so the pictures help yours to stand out.

2. Be careful of the font/color you use for the text on the pictures. I think you could make those quotes easier to read.

3. One of the previous posters suggested some inspirational/smoothing music. I second that - experiement and see. You could also experiment with different types of music for different sections of your site i.e. business, sports.

4. Related to #3. You could try making a slide show of some of your quotes and then posting on YouTube.

5. Definately have your daily quote or the quote/s that have inspired you the most on your homepage.

6. I really liked the videos! I'm going to use the Nike 'no excuses' one with my students.

I'm new to SBI myself, so it's nice to see someone getting on with the business of building a website they're motivated about.
