My guitar lesson website, Guitar Kitchen currently gets about 150 uniques. It's actually less than that because some of those visitors just download songs I have recorded and don't read the lessons or blog. I have about 30 lessons and 40 blog posts.

june 2010 - 149 (unique) visitors per day
june 2009 - 52 visitors per day
june 2008 - 18 visitors per day
june 2007 - 10 visitors per day
june 2006 - 8 visitors per day

It's more of a hobby - I've made about $20. I would like to provide more content and ideas and bring in a lot more traffic. I have been adding lessons in Spanish (and Chinese!), blogging about different ideas and also including lessons in different music styles. I make about 1-2 serious posts a month.

I also just added a post here on these forums welcoming any ideas, etc. that folks have for my site. Thanks!

My newest site, Estate Yard, is only about a month old and only average a few hits a day... but so far I've only been pumping out articles, with no regard for traffic building yet. I plan to change that shortly as I now have a decent list of articles

My website does not get many visitors in general, but it seems particularly few lately. My latest posts have just been about a book discussion, which seems to particularly bore everyone because it took me a while just to get a single soul to click on the post I wrote about that. Anyway... I typically get 1-8 visitors per day, but sometimes it's higher. I don't know how to attract visitors, other than to advertise on forums and comment on other blogs, but that only attracts an extremely small number of people. That said... I do not consider my blog great, so I'm not sure it deserves many visitors. I just would like if there were slightly more.

Most of my sites sit around the 50-150 uniques a day mark. I just can't seem to break the 200 barrier (consistently).

I looked at the metrics for my primary site last night. I have between 1650 and 1600 unique visitors per day.

How do you people get so many visitors to your blog? I'm not that liberal with my self-advertising, as I want to advertise something truly good, but even so, I'd like to know more about blog promotion.

Free methods: Devote some time and effort to link building eg, writing and distributing articles, social bookmarking, directory listings etc. Build a newsletter to have repeat visitors.

Paid methods. PPC advertising on Google, buy banners on on similar sites, or pay others to do the free methods listed above.

I get around 5000 unique visits per month.

when I post a high value article I will get thousands of hits immediately after posting it, like, within 24 hours.

When I haven't posted new content for a week or so I get around 200 visits per day, this week has been slow and I've been averaging about 120-200 visits per day without any new posts.

I put a new post up today though, so I'll probably get at least 400 unique visitors today.

I started Exploring Infinity dot Com in November of 2009. I think I've been doing pretty good.

My goal is to reach 1000 views per day by September 15 of this year. Wish me luck!

Thank you guys for sharing this information.

I started my blog six weeks ago, and yesterday I had 70 unique visitors with 160 page views, tendency growing. I hope to achieve 100 unique visitors per day in average by the end of this month. Very motivating is that 56% of my German readers return to the blog. What defeats me is an explanation why only 9% of visitors from English speaking countries return, despite the blog being completely bilingual and the English pages are a 100% mirror of the German pages which means same content, same articles just in English.

Which website?

This website which I made purely for fun gets 300 unique visitors a day from organic searches. (It ranks number 2 on Google for "Blood Orange" and "Blood Oranges"). I don't promote it in any way, it's just traffic from the search engines.

It's making me some money too when people click on my advertisments and buy the products.

I heavily suspect that I could make a very nice amount of money on this website if I were to create blood orange products myself and sell & ship them personally.

I've got an average of 4-6 visitors per day on my new blog. My number of visitors each day is directly correlated with how many posts I've made on these forums, as the forums are the source of 95% of my traffic. I really don't advertise it anywhere else. I occasionally will have a link in a blog comment, but those only get one or two clicks each. I tell people I meet in person that I have a blog, and they often ask to see the blog, but most of them never end up visiting it. Honestly some of them I don't even want to see it. I would rather share this information with most of them in a more organic way, in face-to-face conversation. That gives me more to talk about with them and makes them value time with me more, and it helps me achieve what is the purpose of my blog. It also lets me put things in new words and rework ideas instead of just being like, "Just read my blog."

I also don't advertise on Facebook for similar reason... if there's a chance this spring, I want to give an epic speech about my self-confidence experiment and personal growth journey at my university, so I don't want people to know it already.

I launched my last website in September. I've not yet worked on it seriously, I spend 1 hour a week.
Sep. 1 a day.
Oct. 11 a day.
Nov. 16 a day.
Dec. 26 a day.
Jan. 47 a day.
Feb - 56 a day.
I'm plan to enter into the game within a couple of months when i get more time to promote it.
My other one has 300-320 visitors a day and brings 250-300 bucks a month, but i almost not touch it.

I am getting around 2000 pageviews a month on my writing blog, Learn Web Writing. I get quite a bit of search traffic, but I was getting a good amount from forums where writers are looking for jobs until I decided to start a paid membership and stop posting jobs for free. (It's very time consuming!) but that hasn't worked out so far.

I wish I could get this blog more pageviews, but I do everything I can think of and I seem to be stuck now on the 50-100 a day mark. I make so little from Adsense on all of my blogs combined it's not even worth mentioning. I do make a bit here and there through CPA offers.

My acupuncture site has had 3,600+ visitors in the last 31 days.

Normally it would have a bit more, but traffic is still recovering from the winter decrease, when searches for acupuncture-related topics decrease by around 30%.

I get 1000+ visitors/day on my website and 20+ on my blog. 32 Keys is online for 11 years and took off 5 years ago with a flood coming from StumbleUpon, 32000 one day. It still provides 85% of my website traffic.

I launched my blog (www.outsidethebox.lton April 4h-5th, 2011.

Here are my stats:

April: Unique visitors: 1372 Number of visits: 2582

May: Unique visitors: 1221 Number of visits: 3483

June (so far): Unique visitors: 839 Number of visits: 2356

My main distraction during these three months was paying my bills, so now I'm moving out of my apartment in Vilnius to cut costs and will be living in my tent in a small seaside town (which is fun, because summer is awesome here in my country, especially near the sea! ), so I hope to be able to focus on my blog better and at least triple my traffic in the coming few months. I'll let you know how it goes!

Default Wake Up World

Hi all,

About 5 weeks ago I started my first blog/site called Wake Up World. The idea was originally born out of the displeasure of seeing Osama being wheeled out by Obama for political gain.

So I voiced a few opinions and tackled a few other topics, the response was both rewarding and well beyond what I though probable.

2,400 Unique visitors & 4,600 Unique page views in 5 weeks

I cant wait to seeing what wake up world evolves into

Wow some decent numbers here, especially considering many are new sites. I get about 40k / month for a site that's about 3 years old.

Cochonette, go to your WordPress admin thingy and click on Privacy, which I think is near the bottom of the menu bar.

Check that your blog is allowing traffic from search engines. For a while WordPress set new blogs to block search engines by default, if you started yours in that time you'll have to change the option in here...

Google Analytics was reporting nearly 400 uniques a day...

Then I changed my theme and it's dropped down to 100. Statcounter has always said 100 so I'm guessing that is the more accurate number.

It's worth it though because the new theme caused my bounce rate to drop considerably.

If you are looking for traffic, you can investigate expiring domains that already have good traffic going to it. You can get a good deal and some free traffic for someone else's hard work. Godaddy auctions, Flippa e.t.c. come to mind.
