The layout is a bit plain. The headings on the navigation bar should be a bold black colour and a bit bigger rather than grey with a white background, so they stand out a bit better. The content looks pretty good but I think you could work on presentation a bit with colours on the left and right side and maybe centre the heading at the top. Hope this helps a bit.

I like the design. However I find the picture on the tight to be catch the attention of my eyes too often making reading the content difficult.

The layout is plain, but I think it is right on target. if you have a good content, it always works

I looked at your blog. I you could have a picture or two in the header space (it's not that plain).

I like your idea. It's something fresh. Keep it up. It'll be hard to get going, but what successful endeavor isn't.

I like the minimalist look, but-- bigger font. A blog page isn't going to be a piece of paper no matter how much we want it to be, so the aesthetics of smaller font doesn't actually do much, IMO.

Doesn't this look better? Easier on the eyes, and the circle symbol that Oscardelben pointed out dominated the page (and I agree,) now doesn't.

more color, or your bounce rate will be high, picture can be fine.

I think you will be fine if you just add some color and use some creativity. Look at other people's blogs and websites in general that will give you some ideas. If you are going to choose a color format...Color Scheme Designer 3 is a cool website to play with complimentary color designs and so forth...good luck!

I'd suggest centering the text column so people with widescreen monitors don't have to turn their heads to read the articles. Also consider putting more articles on the front page, but only posting excerpts to increase page views and the feeling that there is more content below the surface.

Make your navigation clearer too.

But most importantly: who the hell are you and what is your site about?

Without spelling those two things out, you are going to lose most readers very, very quickly.
